BONE AND HORN JEWELRY

Classic Materials and Design Lead to Beautiful Form and Function

This jewelry is available in three colors: antiqued bone (tan), white bone (white), and horn (black). Items are hand crafted by Sioux Indians from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.

Bone/Horn Chokers

Antiqued jewelry uses tan colored genuine bone hair-pipe beads in combination with brass tone beads and black leather to reflect the style of the rendezvous of the late 19th century. Antiqued is the most popular of the colors.

White jewelry uses bleached genuine bone hair-pipe beads in combination with nickel plated (silver) beads and black leather to present a clean, bright appearance.

Horn jewelry uses black, genuine horn hair-pipe beads in combination with nickel plated (silver) beads and black leather to give a richer, more dramatic look.

We also have other bone jewelry that uses combinations of different bead styles as well as other items like turquoise and silver.

Most of this jewelry is strung on strong, imitation sinew, which is braided at the ends. All bracelets and chokers use a tie method of closure.

Bracelets and Chokers are generally available in two, three, four, and five row widths. Some are also available in one, six, and eight row widths. We offer both bracelets and chokers embellished with colored crow beads, and three and five row chokers with a shell disk and bone or horn dangles. Three row chokers are also available with a sterling silver concho and either a bone or a sterling silver feather dangle. Eight row chokers have two sterling silver conchos and a sterling silver feather.

Earrings are designed to match the chokers and bracelets. They come with sterling silver french hooks

Breast Plates are eighteen and one-half inches long by ten and one-half inches wide. They are available with a choice of black, navy, turquoise, or brown crow beads.

Hatbands are available in one, two, and three row widths.

We also offer a display for the chokers. It consists of three velvet covered columns, with a a pressed pecan shell Indian bust capping the center column. Many of our customers have had a great deal of success with this display.
